"If someone had said to me 6 months ago I would have signed up to do a 10k mud run I honestly would have laughed in their face and called them crazy! But in December I did my first 5k obstacle race on behalf of the Firefighters Charity, a cause very close to my heart as my dad and 2 uncles are firefighters. This was an enormous achievement for me, I'm not a natural runner by any stretch of the imagination, and exercise in general never really featured in my life!"
"I've been wanting to do something for the Helen Hodgkins Trust for a while now, Emma is such a truly inspiring person to know and the more I learn about the work the charity does, the more I want to help and be involved. So decided to put a team together to enter The Wolf Run and I'm training hard to build up my strength to make it round the gruelling course, but I'm up for the challenge to raise as much money as possible for such an amazing cause and help to improve so many people's lives, so please give generously, let's make a difference."
I have known Emma Hodgkins for over 10 years now. When she sadly lost her mum, and set up the charity in her honour, I knew I would want to do all I can to help raise money for it.
This year I have decided to do the WOLF run and try and raise as much funds as I can to help such a worthy cause, which is so close to my heart.
So please donate whatever you can spare.
This year’s Wolf run is an amazing opportunity for me to take part in a fantastic event with a great group of people and to raise money for such a great cause. The Helen Hodgkins Trust is a fantastic charity providing fresh water to communities in Ghana.
I’m really enjoying the challenge of getting fit and dusting off the cob webs from my trainers. I can't wait.
