Emily Harris runs her 1st half marathon for the Helen Hodgkins Trust!

2nd March 2015

Running the Bath half marathon was such an incredible experience for me, I honestly thought I'd never be able to run 13 miles without stopping. I proved myself wrong... luckily! The support from the crowd was overwhelming,  it's definitely true to say they carried me through the last 4 miles. Let alone the cause I was running it for! Thank you for everyone that supported the Helen Hodgkins Trust. Every bit of that money will help significantly..  I feel extremely proud to have taken part in such a great event.

Emily Harris is taking on her first half marathon to raise money and awareness for the Helen Hodgkins Trust. This will be her first competitive running experience.

Throughout Emily's life she has always tried to keep fit. Coming from Cornwall her exercise has been more water based - surfing, swimming and taking part in local biathlons.
So this is a tough challenge as Emily will have to build her fitness on the roads to complete the 13.1 mile race through the centre of Bath on the 1st of March.

To meet this challenge Emily is training 5 times a week.
She is clocking up around 14 miles a week, training in the gym and using spinning classes to top up her fitness levels.

Emily says....
"I love to keep fit and to take on new challenges. I recently moved to Bath and met Emma! I saw the time and effort she puts in to making a difference.
This has inspired me to run the Bath half marathon and I hope to raise money to support the Helen Hodgkins Trust.
I am hoping to complete it without stopping if I'm honest!"

Every penny makes a difference so please support Emily with her challenge and donate now....
