Spring 2015 Newsletter

What a year!

The growth of the charity in the space of one year has been amazing.
I have been overwhelmed by your support and the generosity of you all.
Officially, the charity was launched in the summer of 2014. However fundraising began in December 2013.
I set a target of £3,000 not knowing the support I would receive.
We hit this quite easily so I then set another target for £5,000.00 which would enable us to get registered with the Charity Commission.
At the end of the financial year we have raised an incredible £7,000.
Thank you!
In 2013 we raised £1,000 which saved and change over 400 lives in Ghana - Life saving medical insurance for over 100 children and 2 water filters for a village of over 300 people giving them clean water for up to 12 years.

This year we will insure more children, plus send out 40 water filters to Ghana to be distributed throughout the year.
This will enable us to provide clean water to 11,000 people for five years.

I will be returning to Ghana at the end of the year to meet some of those people and see some of the communities we have helped.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for supporting us and for making our first year of fundraising so successful.
There are too many people to thank individually. But for everyone who has donated, sponsored, given time, skills, or venues it is because of you that we have been able to achieve as much as we have.
This is just the beginning and after such a successful start we go into a new year wanting to achieve even more.
I have set a fundraising target of £14,000 in 2015. I know we can achieve it.
With your continued support next year we will be able to reach out and help 10s of thousands of people in Africa.

Please continue to support us......... It is only possible because of you.

We have a number of confirmed events coming up this year and more will be added.
