Kwahu Praso Borehole
Last year we were able to help Kwahu Praso by repairing 2 of their boreholes. Something incredibly important to us is to keep in regular contact with the communities we are supporting. We have come across so many communities that have been given boreholes but then have been forgotten and subsequently the boreholes have fallen into a state of disrepair.
It is almost worse for a community to be given the gift of clean water only to have it taken away. The Helen Hodgkins Trust makes a commitment with every project to support the community with maintenance and repair works for their boreholes.
When Martin and Emma visited the community of Kwahu Praso there was a small issue with one of their 2 boreholes.. This week our partners Fred and Rebeca were able to repair the borehole giving this large community much needed access to its second borehole once again. Another success story for the Trust and only possible because of the wonderful and generous support we have received.
